RSLSL FINAL GAME (and yes...we didn't qualify for the playoffs)

RSLSL (Real Salt Lake S*Pooppy* League) had their last match last Saturday at Rice Eccless stadium, and as usual ended with a fight (only 2 red cards tho).
I just wanted to give a shout out to all of my hommies from the office that made this team possible, giving us many bloody weekends of fun; also, I'd like to thank all of our fans that supported us, especially Janie, my cute sexy wife who would yell at the refs non stop and Sam, who would always kick soccer balls into the field interrupting the game. GO TEAM !

PS for those who don't know, RSLSL is a team formed by members of the Real Salt Lake staff, playing on a Hispanic league (this season only 3 people got stabbed), where we got in fights, saw some beautiful goals, made some awesome mistakes and bought the refs with tickets to RSL games.

This is a tribute to the MULLETS that have bless our lives over the past two weekends, note that some are California MULLETS and some Utah MULLETS (and yes, some are Mexi MULLETS)

DEW TOUR

YYYYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH !!!
I love that the AST Dew tour came to SLC two years in a row. they say that Utah is the best venue during their tour. (Sk8 park finals broke record attendance in UTAH....20k people)
The three amigos went to every single day and all of its events, and although some of us went to see our idols because of their athleticism (Sam and I), others went to see their idols because of their looks (Janie and Ryan Sheckler)
We saw Ryan Sheckler, Paul Rodriguez, Chaz Ortiz, my boy Ryan Nyquist (who had a horrible night almost causing him to loose the overall tour 1st place), etc

FAMILY VACATION (california style)

We planned this trip in less then a week and it was a freaking blast. here is how it went down:

THURSDAY
We flew into Sacramento and stayed with Jeff (Janie's brother) when we got there we drove to SAN FRAN to renew my Colombian Passport (the original reason why we went down), hung out in SAN FRAN the rest of the day and drove back to Sacramento. went to dinner AT THE COOLEST PLACE ON EARTH. get this, its an "all you can eat" pizza place with 5 different rooms with different themes.

FRIDAY
We woke up Early morning and drove to SANFRAN again, but this time to stay, we got a Hotel in Downtown SF. then ate lunch at FISHERMAN'S WHARF and listen to some cool live reggae. walked lunch off from CHINATOWN to our hotel (we walked for 3 hours) went to the hotel showered and WENT TO THE SANFRANCISCO GIANTS GAME






SATURDAY
Woke up Early again, packed our bags and rode the cable cars towards the heart of downtown. ate breakfast at this sweet old school diner. then took the underground train to the airport.
FLEW TO L.A rented a car, drove to the hotel, changed in 5 minutes and WENT TO THE REAL SALT LAKE vs. LA GALAXY game where I did the on-field coverage for our Hispanic radio station back in SLC.
BTW, The Home Depot Center is the MECCA of US SOCCER




PS this picture of me during the radio show looks retarded but i couldn't hear a thing they were saying cuz the stadium was soooo loud.

SUNDAY
slept in, checked out, and drove to HUNTINGTON BEACH were i did some Surfing and Janie and Sam some....running away from the water (the water was about 60 degrees cold). then drove to SANTA MONICA PIER and hung out there the rest of the day. then flew home





now, we are here, in SLC, dead tired and ready to sleep in tomorrow.

when we got to LA we had 1 hour to rent a car, check in, eat, get ready and go to the game. so we went to the hotel and with 20 min left until game time, i told Janie: Quote: "sweetie, RUN to carls jr down the road and get some food while i check us in" gave her the car keys and then she left. 6 min later, JANIE comes in, gasping for air. so i asked her if she was ok, then with an angry looks says: I JUST RAN TO CARLS JR.
hahhahahahhaaa, just writing it makes me laugh. i meant RUN as in hurry and drive, not ACTUALLY RUN! Carls Jr was like 3 blocks away. we laughed for a good while.

LABOR DAY

Labor day was a busy/FUN one
we went shopping at:
- Gardner village (one of the coolest places in SLC)
- and Park City.
we listen to good tunes, talked about our SANFRAN trip, ate delicious MEXI food, Gelato, suckers and bought some cool stuff (like a remote control soccer game)
